Site Rules 1. We’re all (mostly) human here; treat each other accordingly. Always err on the side of kind and respectful. [break][break]2. If there is an issue with any of the choices made by the admin, please feel free to dm one of the admins to discuss it. We reserve the right to not overturn our decisions. [break][break]3. Hallowed Ground is absolutely a safe space. We gladly welcome characters, players, and sundry from LGBTQIA+ backgrounds, and we do not tolerate hatespeech or bullying of any kind. It will not be tolerated. [break][break]4. We ask that all joining the site are at least 16. [break][break]5. Most of us have very complicated and busy lives, so please do not pressure people for posts or spam the admins with questions or requests for approval. If the wait gets longer than two weeks, then (gently) reach out. [break][break]6. If a situation is uncomfortable/anxiety-inducing/etc and you feel as though you cannot handle it alone, our admins are open to be contacted. We will take everything seriously and only want people to have a good time. If something is preventing that, please do let us know. [break][break]7. When choosing a face claim, know that it must be a live person. Anime, art, cosplay, or otherwise are not appropriate for this setting and will not be accepted. Be mindful of the ages of your faces and the projected age of your character and keep them within an acceptable range (5 or so years) of difference. You may be asked to change your face or age if the difference is wild and inappropriate. [break][break]8. If you go two weeks without updating an application WIP or a month without posting without letting us know why/when you might be back, we will move those threads to the archives. You are welcome to come back whenever! [break][break]9. That being said, please do not abuse the absence system. Real life absolutely comes first, but if you have a history of disappearing for four months only to resurface for a few posts then disappear again, you may need to re-evaluate. This is a hobby that’s not meant to stress us out or guilt us, but we maintain reasonable expectations of activity. [break][break]10. We have a three-strike system, but depending on the nature of the offense, you may be asked to leave after one. |
