Frequently Asked Questions Q: What do I register my account with? [break]A: We ask that you register with your intended character's first name. Please refrain from registering with anything else, as it becomes difficult for the admins when tagging your character. [break][break]Q: I have an idea for a hybrid character (werewolf turned vampire, witch turned werewolf, etc). Is that allowed here? [break]A: Hybrid characters are not allowed on Hallowed Ground due to the admins wanting to keep from OP (over powered) characters. We respect that other supernatural sites might allow this, but have made the decision to not allow it here. [break][break]Q: How old does my character have to be? [break] A: We ask that all characters be no younger than 18 years old. All of the main areas and "things to do" on this site center around an 18+ age group. Any younger character would be up to the discretion of the admins. [break][break]Q: What if someone is using the face claim that I really want? [break] A: We have all of our face claims on a first come, first served basis. If the face claim is being used by an inactive account (2+months of not posting without prior arrangements with admins), the face might be released and still subject to the first come, first served rule. [break][break]Q: I always use an anime playby, is there any way this can be allowed? [break] A: We do not allow the use of anime/art/cosplay or otherwise characters here. [break] A: This took a lot of back and forth with the admins, and ultimately we acknowledge the presence of these cultures and practices within New Orleans, however we decided to not allow characters who practices these religions on this site. We have seen too many people without proper knowledge of the practices create characters that do not respect the practices. We believe in respecting the religions and unfortunately there is too much incorrect and dangerous information out there for us to feel comfortable allowing it. [break][break]Q: I am interested in playing someone of Creole/Cajun background, is that okay?[break] A: Creole and Cajun (or Acadians) are part of the cultural history of Louisiana. We just ask that there is some research done. We have noticed that sometimes people will play these characters based off some stereotypes portrayed in media. Do some research because no one wants to play a character that is a walking stereotype. [break][break]Q: What size pictures do I need for the hover image and the avatar?[break] A: The avatar is optimized for 150x150 but any square image will work.
