Coming from a good family was a start, but it was Damian’s tenacity that drove his success through school, leading him to become top of his class at Boston University. This strong personality served him well as he worked his way up in his father's law firm before the two of them began to work exclusively for the city. It is in his legal work his intuition shines as he always seems to know what is needed before it was even asked for.
While most of his life revolves around the city, he does pride himself in his appearance. In the pre-dawn hours, he can be seen jogging around town or hitting the gym after a long day in court.
A sharp mind and a strong body, Damian can be a significant ally and a formidable foe.
HISTORY
The Chachere family did well in Louisiana, and Damian saw the privilege afforded him because of his father’s innate prowess and magical abilities. While he never knew his mother, she died giving birth; his childhood was rich with positive experiences shared with his father and older brother. Their three-story home on Royal Street was the ideal environment for an adventurous young warlock to grow up in. Still, some of his fondest memories are of exploring the attics with his older brother, who, though only a year older, Damian idolized.
By the time Damian started at his training, his brother was already a year in and showing signs of a personality change. As Hayden grew more and more distant from the family, Damian found himself excelling in his studies. A successful start to his magical training was dampened when his brother ran away. Except for a yearly note to prove he was alive, Damian never saw his brother again. He rarely talked about it; neither did his father. Damian just channeled that loss into the drive for his career, and when the time came, he went to Boston University and earned his law degree.
Almost a decade has passed since Damian’s return to New Orleans, and while some things have changed, it’s mostly still the same dramatic town he grew up in. One difference though, was that he was now the majority one of the family law firm and sole owner of the family home. After the lucrative deal with the city five years ago and eventually becoming private counsel to the Mayor Damian’s father retired to Key West.
Now, Damian is in the thick of it all as the supernatural world has been exposed to the mortals. Steering legislation, spinning to the media, and keeping the ear of the mayor are all in a day's work. Thank Merlin, he has magic to help get him through it all.
