PERSONALITY
Sarcastic | Distant | Loyal Upon first encounter Katherine has a sharp tongue and quick wit about her, it's rare for her to become flustered or really hesitate with an answer or retort for longer then a few seconds. Most people would know her as the girl who has something to say about everything, especially when no one wants to hear it. Her thick sarcasm is often misinterpreted as cold, heartless, rude or just flat out mean. Many find it difficult to handle her attitude and she is well aware of this, using it more of a way to distant herself from others.
If someone manages to stick around longer then a few weeks you might get to know her more friendly side, if she likes you enough to show it that is. If you are somehow lucky enough to survive the verbal abuse, you will be met with respect and a softer tongue as she gets to know you as well. She is fiercely loyal to those she gets to know and understand but beware for she does have anger issues, getting frustrated with others easily making it even more difficult for her to get along with people. Hence why she often tries to distance herself from them instead.
Through all her attitude her one soft point is children. If a kid is around she is more like a lamb rather than a wolf, all soft and fluffy but still a thick head. It's rare for anyone to actually see this side however, since she keeps to herself and avoids people religiously. Along with her anger issues she also has a bad habit of jumping to conclusions, finding any little thing she can to push someone away. Because of her tendency to push people far far away, she is very lonely and all to aware that it's her own doing.
HISTORY
Katherine was born in this little part of the country, Louisianan. Her life her was essentially what someone might refer to as "Perfect". She was a cute little kid, she was brilliant in her schooling, she got along with everyone. Her mother, Lucy Fink, and father, Henry Fink, were both part of the Oak Hill's Community where Katherine lived. When she was fourteen nasty rumors began to spout around Oak Hill about Katherine. Because of these rumors many thought that Katherine wasn't actually her father's daughter and was in fact an outsider's child. These Rumors were never confirmed and Katherine's mother denied them tooth and nail but her father refused to believe her, having a rather large temper of his own and a jealous nature.
It was unclear about how these rumors got started in the first place but upon hearing them Katherine began to have trust issues. Her Father became very distant from her and even cold to her, of course that was just where it started. About a month after these accusations arouse Katherine's mother, Lucy, was found dead in their house and Katherine's father was no where to be found. Although it is still unsure about what had happened many believe it was Henry Fink who had done the deed. Katherine was the one who had found her mother and she still refuses to talk to anyone about anything she saw.
After that Katherine was taken care of by others in the community, never having the same house for longer then a month and each month she grew more distant from those taking care of her, until one day she up and left the Oak Hill at the age of seventeen. She ran away to hopefully find out the truth about her mother's secret. Eventually she found out that it was all true and her father was a regular old human, or so she thought. He was actually a very powerful member of 'the Family' and he ended up hunting after her once he realized who she was. After a good fight Katherine escaped him with only a few battle scars. After that event she became very good at hiding in the open.
When she was spotted again in Louisianan she was clearly no longer the little innocent girl she once was. She never made any attempt to get into contact with the people at the Oak Hill, especially the Robespierres. For the most part she is avoiding anything and everything that had to do with her life here and why she returned after so long is a mystery in itself.
