Poppy is exceptionally charming and able to get her needs met. Poppy enjoys spending her time shopping, with her friends, and enjoying some of the finer parts of life. She enjoys being spoiled and will do anything to make sure she gets what she wants. When Poppy spends time with her friends, she is fun loving and a little wild. She spends most of her time with her siren sisters, but she does have some best friends who are other species. One in particular would be her best friend Eve, a fellow member of the Rising Sun staff.
Poppy works at the Rising Sun where she is able to use her skills as a siren to pull in people to the club, but also to allure people who would want to also spoil her rotten. Poppy typically has multiple "sugar daddies" at any time. She enjoys being spoiled and will often talk to people into giving her what she wants.

Born in Tokyo, Japan in 1923, Iume was born in one of the last remaining geisha homes in Tokyo. Her father was an American GI stationed in Japan at the time looking for a thrill and a story to bring back to his friends. Ashamed of her half white daughter, Akira kept Iume away from most of the populations. She was tutored at home and she was taught how to follow in her mother's footsteps. Her mother trained her how to serve men and how to be a graceful woman.
When Iume turned eighteen, she left her mother's home and accepted a position working in a home for a wealthy family in Tokyo. She moved in with the family and helped raise their children. Iume enjoyed her life with the family and finally felt accepted by a very harsh world in Japan. She felt like part of the family and bonded with the woman of the house as a sister. One night when the youngest child of the family was sick, Iume was up with the child. When the little girl finally went to bed, Iume was face to face with the father of the family. He made advances, she said no. He didn't stop. Iume continued to work in that home and continued to be assaulted by the man of the house for about three years.
When Iume turned twenty-one, she started to show signs of being pregnant. The only possible father would be the man she worked for. Unable to go her mother for support, or the woman of the house who she cared for so deeply, Iume instead took matters into her own hand and threw herself down a flight of stairs. In the hospital, they informed her that it had been enough to force the miscarriage.
Iume took the opportunity after the hospital to leave the family that she worked for. Taking passage on a ship to America with money that she had saved up, she journeyed to California and settled down into a new family to work for. She kept up her guard around the man of the family and was careful not to be left alone with him. This coldness made the man of the family dislike her and she was sent to work for his brother and his family who was moving east.
Iume took to the new family that she worked for and thought that she would be able to be comfortable and safe with this final family. When she turned twenty-four, Iume met a man in New Orleans who made her incredibly happy. The only person who made her happier was his sister. While she grew closer with her boyfriend, she spent more and more time with his sister. It didn't take long before the feelings for her boyfriend were replaced with intense feelings for his sister. Iume and her boyfriend's sister spent a night together, and had sex. It wasn't love, but it was the best night of Iume's life.
The next morning, she told her boyfriend that she didn't love him and wanted to be with his sister, he became enraged but left her alone. That next day, Iume found a note from her lover on her door step, asking her to meet by the swamps late at night. When she accepted the invitation and met her lover, she found her ex-boyfriend instead. He drowned her in the swamp after an intense fight. He left Iume for dead in the swamp and returned to home.
Waking up with no memory on the shore of the swamp, she met Calder Seaton who took her in as a daughter. Waking up without a name and no memories of her life before, she was renamed Poppy Florence Seaton. Over the years, she had horrible nightmares of the night she was killed, finally able to connect who had killed her. Poppy, dedicated to getting revenge, sought out the man who killed her and his sister. While his sister might not have personally had a hand in killing her, she was determined to kill them both.
Poppy found them both in a dark alleyway after a night of New Orleans jazz music and hacked them both with an axe. She, with the help of her siren sisters, tossed the pieces into the swamp for the gators and was finally able to sleep easily. Once she settled into her life as a siren with the knowledge that her attacker was dead, she was able to become more comfortable in her skin and begin to build a life for herself in New Orleans. She took up jobs singing in clubs, her siren call able to attract people to her and attract people to listen to her. She bounced around clubs, hiding her lack of aging with make up, wigs, and new names.
When the supernatural community was able to come out, she proudly took a position singing at a supernatural club where she can openly be a siren and attract beautiful people to spoil her rotten.
