PERSONALITY
Stubborn | Cocky | Determined Even from a young boy Jacques would go exploring around the community, he would ask a lot of questions to answer his sightings , which is where his adventurous and curious side comes in. He also learnt from a young age the way to manipulate and persuade people into doing things they wouldn’t normally do. As time went on, he became more disobedient and sharp with his tongue. A serious lack of respect for all authority, which as a young teenager would have him in patrol cars most nights.
As time went on, when he had his first change he was afraid, yet no one came to his aid and he was left alone through this terrifying stage in his life. That’s where trust issues and lack of empathy for others come in. Because he was often left alone and he was never truly cared for as a child, he was adopted by a family he knew and he started to learn, love, respect, obedience... Yet when he is alone it all seems to fade and he becomes a force to be reckoned with.
HISTORY
Jacques Davie Winchester, born as Henry Alex Darning to a neighbourhood whore and a business man, Jacques was abused his first few years. When he was three, his mother jabbed him in the chest with a star brander, that left a scar right in the middle of his chest, she said it was the mark of their family. Whatever that meant. Left without food, left without electric or schooling, the boy was left alone for nine years of his life, that included the first change. He didn’t know where he was, who he was or what he was, all he knew was that it hurt. But then he closed his eyes, the pain faded away and when he opened them and looked at himself in the long mirror in the hallway, he wasn’t afraid anymore. His pelt was brown and his eyes green, a little white diamond on his chest to form his scarring from the human side of him. He finally had a release for his anger. Pain.
He was soon taken from his mother, put into the system and within months adopted by the Winchester’s, as if they knew he was different. They hurried with him home, well to Oak Hill. His behaviour was that of a feral child, he’d snatch, runaway with food and sit in a corner, he’d hide when it got to loud, or he’d try to fight against anyone who would try to approach him. The boy had gone insane with the werewolf gene, he was unpredictable and more dog like than human. But eventually he came to learn how to trust these two people that forced themselves into his life, he came to understand through learning what he was. He started to talk by the age of fourteen, started to write by sixteen. Jacques has made a few friends on the estate, some thought he was odd and often tried to avoid him. Once he realised that he wasn’t actually liked, he started to appear less and less. He would sit in his homes basement and ponder all the possibilities of a life as a runaway, but that was cut short by the interruption of his adoptive mother racing down the stairs to tell him the “good” news. She’d been applying to jobs for him, he had been offers a job at the local shop. How exciting
He spoke to people, his actions improved as well as his speech and fake tone. He learnt how to be apart of a community he didn’t want to be apart of, as he grew older he found the joy of cigarettes, he smoked from seventeen to nineteen, before drinking illegally. What a buzz that gave him, alcohol was his new addiction, nicotine was kicked out. When he drank he became like his biological mother, distant, rude, provocative, and short tempered. His adoptive parents had enough of him at this point, pretty much told him at twenty if you don’t stop we will be forced to kick you out into the streets of Oak Hill. To which he was afraid of and turned down the amount and how often he did drink. He was afraid of being alone, especially in the darkness, he didn’t like the idea of being thrown out to sort life out on his own. He was still learning after all. He turned to god, turning up to Sunday sessions and if he felt doubtful of himself he would attend more or do confessionals, either way Jacques was developing from a feral child into a man and he didn’t know if he liked that or not. The changes had become easier, he took the pain as punishment from god for being so in-loyal that it made everything seem okay. He couldn’t cry, that was a trigger for this wolf to appear, crying and deep sadness.
By twenty-two Jacques was able to afford his own property with the help of ma and pa, he lives alone and often doesn’t sleep for fear the darkness will grab him, the house is a tip and he still works at the shop. He’s more an alcoholic now than before, bringing back all the darkness into his life and often ending up in fights or paranoid the journey home. He is a little slutbag, he will try to take a woman home most nights but most in this place seem to be respectable women. He has never left Oak Hill and doesn’t plan on it, he couldn’t survive getting lost out there and the stress it would put on him to find his way home. To the outside eye he can seem charming, sweet and helpful. But if you truly know him, he is as dead on the inside as a vampire.
