PERSONALITY
ENFP-T | CURIOUS | EXCITABLE Estelle is an outgoing and easily excitable witch. She loves seeking out and reveling in the beauty of the world, and doesn't care what people may think of her for it. It leads to some odd personality quirks, that's for certain. As an herbalist she often finds herself being able to recharge among her plants and rifling through dirt. Thought she is an extrovert, Estelle knows how to appreciate time alone - her favorite pastime is brewing new concoctions in the attic of her store.
Estelle will go out of her way to help the people around her. She's the definition of a bleeding heart, and would absolutely give the cloak off of her back to someone in need. Her giving nature has made her something of a staple in her small corner of New Orleans, Estelle knows nearly everyone who comes through her doors by name. She's given more than a few potions to her die-hard patrons, be them witch, human, or even werewolves or vampires. While not necessarily smiled upon by Our Lady, Estelle doesn't mind the occasionally nagging that comes from her alma mater. She's happy to be of help, to anyone in need.

HISTORY
Ever since Estelle was a little girl, she has felt the tug of nature in her heart. While her mother wasn't a witch, her grandmother carried that gene, and she recognized the signs in young Estelle early on. The little one would make up rhymes that would make mystical things happen, magick away some scrape she got on the playground, or chat with animals in a way that it almost seemed they understood. Most of all, young Estelle was incredibly gifted with potions. At a very early age she could remember frolicking in her grandmothers garden, picking herbs to go into her 'special teas.' They always tasted terrible, but had certain relieving properties, depending on the mood Essie was in when she plucked the herbs. Since that time, she has gotten considerably better at making her potions palatable.
At the behest of her mother, Estelle went to a normal school in New Orleans up until her 18th birthday - at which point she went through her Coming of Age ceremony. She officially took up her mantle as an herbal witch before being accepted to the elite school of Our Lady of the Water.
Her five years of schooling went by quickly - even if Estelle didn't necessarily get along with her cohorts. As a bubbly, outspoken weirdo, she didn't quite fit the proto-typical mold of Our Lady students. She often makes the joke that they couldn't find anyone else her age to attend Our Lady so they got stuck with her.
Even if her fellow students weren't terribly impressed with Estelle, she made the best of her time at Our Lady. She learned so much about the craft that she wouldn't have otherwise, and upon leaving she had become one of the most renowned potion-crafters in Louisiana. In her final year at Our Lady, Estelle was prompted with the option to stay on and continue teaching herbalism to the upcoming students. While the offer was quite tempting, and full of a lot of nice perks, Estelle decided her efforts would be better spent exploring the craft on her own terms. There are certain things books and stuffy research just can't teach you, and Estelle was bound and determined to figure that out on her own.
At twenty-two, after spending a year traveling the world and gathering rare herbs and supplies, Estelle opened up the witch supply store Vox Maleficis (with the help of the coven, of course). While the shop front is set up to act as more of a tourist, the back area is chock full of magical items and supplies any witch could hope for, and the attic is fully furnished with cauldrons, pens, stones and crystals, and anything else a witch might need to practice their magic. Those with ties to Our Lady are allowed full access to her supplies, at a discounted rate of course. While those special supplies are supposed to be limited to coven members or witches exclusively, Estelle isn't above letting in the occasional regular (human) customer to snag some premium witchery items.
She has been successfully running Vox Maleficis for the last three years. Estelle is still an active member of Our Lady's coven, though not as much as some members think she ought to be. While she has her ties to Our Lady, she holds no malice for those who change their alliances to Robespierre. As long as no one crosses her, they are free to come and go unhexed as they please.
