While 'alive' Richard was known as very charming, innocent seeming, playboy type. He was extremely flirty but forgetful, often being yelled at by whoever he had slept with that night for forgetting their names and such. He could be an extreme asshole when drunk and would come on to almost anything that walked, hitting on his friends at least five times before moving to the next target. Despite all of that, he had a good side, throwing money to the poor and trying to help out where he could but most just saw it as a way to spend more money. If you got to know him you'd see he was actually very depressed, lonely and longing for a permanent partner and a change in lifestyles but never knew how to go about it.
Now that Richard is reborn as Ezekiel he has kept his forgetfulness, his charms and his all around longing for a faithful companion but he no longer has the need to endlessly party, he no longer drinks as heavily as he did and his jerkiness has been replaced with a child-like awe of life and all things beautiful. He had secluded himself from technology and the advancements of most things for many, many years so things like cell phones and the internet are very confusing for him.
He is a hopeless romantic and although he longs for a partner for himself, he will often try to fill the strange voice by trying to set others up.
HISTORY
Ezekiel was the typical high society bachelor/playboy of his century. He was rich, well liked by both the ladies and Gentlemen. He often would throw raging parties that would go on for a week or two and then turn around and throw another one the following day. He was very flirtatious, hitting on anyone he found attractive and he constantly was accompanied by crowds of people, mostly around him for his money or his nightly company.
He lived this life like that all that for years and one particular event he would always attend was the French Ballet whenever possible. He was not there for the reasons most men of his type were but instead, he genuinely enjoyed watching the dancers dance and he even had favorite dancers. He was often backstage with flowers for each one but he'd never stoop so low as the others. A while passed and eventually Richard met the acquaintance of a one Atticus Caine who became his only true friend. Together they partied, joked and a merry time was had by all. One lonely and drunken night Richard went to a near by bar alone and after he had had a few drinks a few regulars at the French ballet showed up and Richard having already been drunk, was swindled into buying them all drinks and having a few laughs. The bar eventually closed and kicked them out. While they were walking they came to a bridge crossing and that is where Richard Davies met Eve. In all honesty Even if Richard hadn't died that night on the bridge he probably wouldn't have remembered it anyway. He was thrown over the bridge. The waters were calm for the river and it wasn't too shallow but sadly the pour man had no clue how to swim.
Reborn, crushing waters surrounding him, dried blood covered his head. No memory of who he once was. He woke up confused, dazed and a new man, a second chance maybe? He had no clue. It didn't take him long to realize he had no clue who he was but his curiosity ended up leading him on long journey to try to recover his lost memories but sadly he ended up traveling in the opposite direction of his original home. Many, many years later after giving up hope he finally came to the conclusion that he should find others of his kind and heard of the large community of supernaturals in New Orleans and decided a change of scenery was needed.
