Claira could best be described as the snake toying with it's meal. To her, everyone is just a tool to be used. She is cold and uncaring about anyone but herself. She considers herself to be above it all. She has anger issues and it's never pretty when someone gets on her bad side, She is petty and dishonest to most. There are few who have lived long enough to actually gain her full trust but I can assure you they are long gone by now. She is highly seductive and a bit overly so. She'll do almost anything to get her way. She's smart and headstrong as well, being one of the more stubborn creatures to ever walk the earth. She is a bit trapped in the past however, longing for how things used to be but at the same time she has come to accept the fact that their ways are no longer secret to the rest of the world and to most it would seem as if she has embraced it when in reality she is quietly wishing, hoping and waiting for when Vampires will rise back into power. Power is something Claira is drawn to but she doesn't want to be in the direct spotlight, she wants to be behind the curtain, holding the strings.
HISTORY
Claira was born in Europe around 1346. about a year before the Black Death plagued her home land. Her mother lived but her father died. Not long after her father's death her Mother took her somewhere else, hoping for a safer place but sadly any safe place didn't last long. When Claira was 8 years old her mother disappeared and was never seen from again, leaving Claira to fend for herself. She was taken in by a cult who worshiped vampires as gods and she was raised to lure humans likes lambs to the slaughter. The Vampires took a liking to Claira and when she turned twenty-four they offered her a place among them. She graciously agreed to their offer and become a vampire. For hundreds of years she was worshiped and was allowed to do what she pleased. For a few of the more notable moments in history Claira was pulling the strings behind some of the actions of the men with the most power. For instance she was a rather large part of what started a the Peasant Revolt in the year 1381, although she did not take part in any of the actual revolting she was a very constant support for certain men on both sides.
In the early 16th century she discovered a talent for teaching and she decided she'd give it a shot and began to teach young humans where she was allowed. Teaching was probably one of the only things she truly enjoyed that wasn't specifically for her own gain. Many years passed, she eventually grew to love certain humans, only to watch them die because of wars, famines, accidents, plagues, and her just simply out living them. This made her grow even colder and less likely to grow attached to anyone or anything. Through many wars and many tragedies Claira witnessed pain and suffering from humans and supernaturals alike. Claira refused to take part in any of the wars and in fact after world war 1 she had lost her last actual love to the terrible violence that took place. World war 2 was terrible to witness and is one of the moments Claira refuses to talk about in detail.
1963 was the year Claira became a professor at one of the many universities in England. She was only there for ten years before she quit and came to the United States of America. It was such a different place then Europe. At that point in time Claira had been everywhere in Europe, even the places that actually hunted the supernaturals. Luckily for Claira she was there long before the hunters actually started hunting so she never had any run ins with them. The USA was different, it was a mess. But Claira seemed to fit in there a little too well, easily manipulating those she wanted to.
1982, Claira made her way across every known state, hitchhiking for the most part. When she came to Louisiana and found the Azalea Alliance she requested to join with them, being welcomed in. She was the newest member and is still the newest member of the Azalea Alliance, but probably one of the bolder.
It was only until recently that she had to grow more cautious of her actions. When the supernatural community came out to the worlds she was one of the Vampires who was against it entirely, saying it was dangerous for all of their kind to come out into the open but sadly they were out voted. Sinking into the new role quickly she became the Vampire Representative of the new Academy.
